The artwork that inspired me is called "War and Peace." Hendra Gunawan created it in the 1950s, and the gorgeous countryside and background colors starkly contrast with the colors of my painting. First of all, the color choices in this painting are remarkable and it really hooks the eye with vivid greens and blues. Focusing on the artwork will make you feel deeply touched towards it even if you are unable to perceive what I first noticed- the weapons. I chose to use the number 7 because I am from china and the artist is from Indonesia, so the shortest route between China and Indonesia is 6,564.01 miles, but considering specific locations it would be about 7,000 miles. The shortest distance between China and Malaysia is 2,125.60 miles, and that’s how I get my second number—21. For the color  I choose red, blue, yellow and white, which represents my Chinese heritage and red and white represents the flag of Indonesia. You can see that there are red and black marks at the 4 corners of my painting. This represents war coming from all angles as if trying to devour and encompass something such as peace from all sides. The colours in my painting represent the following; white: happy, red: angry, blue: sad, and yellow: hope.
