My final piece has reworked the painting Forest Fire which was painted by the artist named Raden Saleh who was an Indonesian painter. He was considered Indonesia's first ever modern artist. It was painted in 1849 and was gifted to king William lll and was originally known as Boschbrand. The painting is oil on canvas and I tried to recreate this as my own painting. The colour is one of the main aspects I used. I took the red and orange to replicate the fire which brought the essence of the original piece to my composition. I used stencils and black paint to create the numbers which contrast the bright background.
