This is my final design. i have reinvented the painting dancing mutants by Hernando R. Ocampo, born on the 28th of April 1911. He was a Filipino artist, best known for his Abstract paintings. He was a leading member of the Neo-realists, a group that sees competition and conflict as enduring features and sees limited potentialfor cooperation. In the dancing mutants painting, i enjoyed the color scheme and the unique shapes of the painting as well as the hidden meaning, and the fact that once you see the mutant, you can't un-see it. The green and blue color scheme of the painting represents the mix of emotion that i felt during my parents divorce, whilst the circles and curved shape of the painting is based offof the dancing mutants painting. The person in the middle is meant to represent reaching out for hope in a hard time, And the number 10 is hidden in the left arm, as the one, and the head, as the zero. i chose this number as it was the age my parents separated. it is A3 acrylic on canvas. The blue is meant to highlight and tone down the white body. Only three colours were used; white, green, blue but in multiple shades and tints. I started of by washing the board with white, then adding the different shades of the green and blue cirlces and finally i painted the body and highlighted it.
