When I look at this painting, I think about how everything fades over time. The green background feels like a memory that’s losing its clarity, slowly fading into the background. The circles are bright and sharp, but the fading edges show how even the most vivid moments start to blur with time. The white streaks seem like interruptions in that fading process, like flashes of clarity before everything fades again. To me, it’s about how the past doesn’t completely disappear—it just fades, and we’re left with pieces that are harder to see clearly.
My inspiration for this painting is about how time changes everything, and how we look at the past and the future. The faded green background kind of feels like looking back at old memories that aren’t as clear anymore, like something that’s slowly disappearing. The number '12' stands out, and it’s like a marker for time—it could be hours, or months, or even big moments in life. It’s like a reminder that time just keeps moving forward, no matter what. The number 12 is also related to what position I am playing on the fields of sport, my favourite sport is rugby and 12 is also my lucky number.
The circles in the painting are different colours, and I think they represent different parts of life, like memories or experiences. Each one is its own thing, but they all exist in the same space, kind of like how we live in this big world, but everything feels separate sometimes. The different colours show how life isn’t all one thing—there’s joy, sadness, confusion, everything mixed together. And then there are these white streaks cutting through the circles, which to me feels like those moments where everything just changes suddenly. Like when something clicks in your head or when life takes a turn and you’re forced to see things differently.

The painting kind of reflects how everything is constantly shifting—memories fade, time moves, and we keep learning and growing. But even if things change, those little moments (the circles) are always there, even if we don’t always notice them. It's like trying to figure out where you’re going while carrying all your past with you.
Overall, I think the fade is nice with a really special effect on how you put stuff in the past and look forward, this painting also reminds me of the new year and what's going to happen in the future. This painting can also represent tranquillity and peace. It is a very bright painting which can also mean that we don’t look back at the bad and dark times.
