Paiton Liebenberg

‘The Life Of a 13 Year Old Girl’ was inspired by Dancing Mutants by Hernando R. Ocampo. I was inspired by the dark leafy tones and the hidden images inside the painting, I have tried to recreate this in my own painting by using dark and light greens. I also used shades and tints of red. I used vines and twisting turning shapes to disguise two very important numbers in my painting. Can you spot them?

The twisting and turning vines were to represent growth and growing up as a teenage girl. The green and red were to represent good and bad times to come, while showing that life has its ups and downs. The reds represent the good to come and the ups in life, the green represent the bad to come and the downs in life….Bet you didn’t expect that huh?

I was originally going to add an orchid but it didn't work in my design so I cut it out. I think that it is quite a unique and interesting painting, and I am very proud of ‘The Life Of a 13 Year Old Girl’. Have fun looking for the hidden numbers.
