This painting, inspired by Raden Saleh's Forest Fire, reflects the devastating impact of the 2019 - 2020 Australia bushfires, showcasing my love for animals and commitment to conservation. The vivid reds and oranges illustrate the ferocity of the flames, while the deep blue sky symbolizes the serenity of nature disrupted by disaster. The black silhouette of the tree serves as a haunting emblem of survival, scarred but enduring. Influenced by Raden Saleh's ability to evoke emotion and portray the untamed power of nature, I channelled similar intensity into my work by stencilling the number 30 to make it look sharp and adding texture and depth. I also used bold stroked to mimic the fire. The number 30 signifies the massive loss of 3 billion animals, emphasizing the urgency of protecting our fragile planet. This piece stands as a tribute to what has been lost and a reminder of the critical need for conservation, driven by my passion for defending the environment and safeguarding wildlife
